From early in his ordained life, Fr Paul lived habitually the conscious practice of being one with Jesus and Mary in their unbroken FIAT. He abandoned his will to God's Holy Will in each present moment in order to be “one offering with Jesus on the cross and in the Eucharist" for all souls to the glory of the Holy Trinity. His Suscipe Fiat spirituality is expressed in the liturgical prayer: “Receive, O Holy Trinity, this oblation that we offer you in memory of the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ.” Thus he became in his words “one mystical reality with Christ, a living host”. His life, writing, and preaching, always faithful to scripture and the teaching of the Catholic Church, provide us with a proven model of holiness. May Fr. Hinnebusch’s ministry, continued through this website and his published books and articles, be a blessing to everyone.
